The last meeting of the year will be next Wednesday Dec. 5th. Merchandise will be available for purchase following the meeting.

We will be completing a Lubrecht clean-up and work day on May 5. Meet behind the Forestry building in the morning to carpool.

Chuck Gesme elected as the 2012-2013 Forestry Students Association club president.

Nominations for next years Forestry Club positions will take place at next week’s meeting (March 14th). Elections will be held one week after on March 21st.

January 25, 2012

Any student wishing to help build or work at the Foresters’ Ball needs to come to the Forestry Club meeting at 7 p.m. tonight in FOR 206.

Remember, putting in 20 hours will get you a free ticket to the night of your choice!

All students are welcome and encouraged to participate, even if you never have before.

November 21, 2011

No meeting this week because of Thanksgiving, eat lots of turkey! We will be headed to potomac on Sunday, November 26th to mark a stand for a thinning and hazardous fuels reduction project. Call Shannon for more information.

October 2nd, 2011

Pole Run will be held on October 15th. We will be heading to Lubrecth Experimental Forest to cut a couple hundred lodgepole pine tree’s which we use in construction of the Forester’s Ball. Come to Forestry Club meetings for more information.

September 19th, 2011

This years homecoming parade will be on October 1st. Join us for parade float building on Sep. 29th and 30th. Theme this year is “We are Family”. More details to come in club meetings.

September 8th, 2011

All students in the CFC are invited to attend the fall Smoker next weekend. Tours of the Smokejumber Base, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Garnet Ghost Town will be followed by presentations and a pig roast at Lubrecht Forest. Cabins and breakfast will be provided. Attendees; meet on the East side of the Forestry Building at 8:30 am on Sep. 17th. Transportation will be provided. There is a $10 fee which covers food and lodging. Come to next Wednesday’s Forestry Club meeting at 7 pm in FOR 206 for information

September 7th, 2011

The first Forestry Club meeting of the year is tonight at 7 p.m. in Forestry 206. There will be a free BBQ following the meeting outside of the Forestry building.

August 31st, 2011

Forestry Club and the Woodsman’s Team will have a booth set up at the Welcome Feast on September 2nd on the oval. A free lunch is provided for all students by the UM Dining Services, stop by our booth to learn more about the club and don’t forget to come to our first meeting on September 7th.

August 30th, 2011

The College of Forestry & Conservation’s Fall Smoker will be held on September 17th. All students within the college are welcome to attend. Tours of the Missoula Smokejumber Base and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in the morning will be followed by presentations from the different clubs in the College and a pig roast at Lubrecht Experimental Forest. Come to Forestry Club meetings for more information.
